We have some gorgeous new arrivals in the gallery this week, lovely woodcuts by Martine Baldwin. Her recent work explores her personal connection to the tidal landscape of the Severn Estuary – its expansiveness, hidden depths and changing moods as well as locations in Cornwall and Ireland. Her woodcuts are synonymous of landscapes reduced to essential lines and shapes by the action of wind and water. The woodcuts - which take months to create - have a soft tonal palette of sage green, blues and greys
Well done to Anna Harley for selling over 20 prints at the Affordable art fair in Hampstead! It seems her series on trees is a particularly popular subject matter for the residents of Hampstead, plus they are absolutely beautiful screen prints of course, with subtle tones and a few soft metallics thrown in. We just love them - I think we need a re-stock!
Anna also has Moon Shadow in the Victoria Gallery in Bath currently as part of the Bath Society of Artists group exhibition. On view until July 15th
Here a just a few samples of artworks which found lovely new homes after selling at the Affordable Art Fair in Hampstead. Well done to all the artists at Gallery & Barrow for providing such gorgeous and unique works of art. Lots of very happy new customers!
